Frequently asked questions about a makeup session

Q. Will I need to provide any product for my session?

A. No! I provide all product, including skincare and false eyelashes. However, if there is a product you are obsessed with that I do not have in my kit and you would like me to use it, I will be more than happy to apply it!

Q. I have heard a lot about airbrushed makeup. What is the difference between airbrushed makeup and traditional makeup?

A. Airbrushing has become more popular because of the regular use of high definition cameras, which can show even the smallest makeup particle. Throughout my experience as a makeup artist, I have found that airbrushing is great for just that, when a HD camera is being used. Airbrushed makeup is not as "durable" as traditional makeup and when staying power is needed (e.g.weddings, special events), traditional makeup is the way to go! P.S. Every client/model featured in my portfolio is wearing traditional makeup.

Q. What do you charge for a makeup session?

A. Please contact me for a menu of services and fees.

Q. How long does a makeup session take?

A. A full makeup application (skin prep, foundation, color, and false eyelashes), usually takes about an hour to complete.

Q. What brand of makeup do you use?

A. The majority of the makeup in my kit is M.A.C., but I do use a few products from NARS, Laura Mercier, Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics, and Inglot.

Q. How far in advance should I schedule a trial?

A. A trial should be scheduled whenever it is most convenient for you, but usually no later than a week before your event.

Q. Will you come to me and if so, is there a travel fee?

A. I will come to you wherever you are getting ready in the San Diego area or beyond. I will travel to Coronado, La Jolla, Encinitas, Carlsbad, Temecula or any other destination. Please note, a small travel fee may be required. If you prefer, you can arrange to have your application done at a salon located in North County San Diego. Please contact me to learn if a travel fee will apply.
